Artist's Statement

Originally from New York City, Stephen Petegorsky has lived in the Northampton, Massachusetts area for 40 years.  His work has been exhibited internationally, and is in collections throughout this country as well as in Europe.  He graduated from Amherst College, and later received an M.F.A. in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design.  He has taught at Amherst College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and the University of Connecticut.

Take a Seat!

40 local artists and designers creatively paint, decorate, cut, drill, and embellish 40 chairs. The exhibition culminates in a fundraising party and silent auction of the chairs on February 28, 2016. Exhibition runs January 27 – February 28, 2016
