Artist's Statement

When working in collaboration we blend our art almost telepathically by merging figurative elements with injections of color components and constructions that explore the dynamics of space, imagery, and material. Our shared penchant for the arcane flavors all of this, serving as a ‘remove in time’ to emphasize through the Romantic what could be lost or transformed.

This chair represents our ‘touch tag’ process of adding and taking away elements until the piece seduces both of us.

The title is excerpted from WB Yeates poem,“The Long Legged Fly”.

Take a Seat!

40 local artists and designers creatively paint, decorate, cut, drill, and embellish 40 chairs. The exhibition culminates in a fundraising party and silent auction of the chairs on February 28, 2016. Exhibition runs January 27 – February 28, 2016
