Rieka Speaks is a versatile artist shaping narratives through poetry, acting, and comedy writing. As the co-founder of Issa Rae's Daughters Sketch Comedy Team, a sketch team led by Black women, Rieka brings a unique blend of humor and authenticity to her craft. Rieka's poetry delves into themes of mental health, sex positivity, relationships, recovery, and self-love. Rieka is a Best of Button poet and the 2023 Grand Slam Champion of The Writer's Den RVA. She was a member of the Virginia Commonwealth University slam team, Good Clear Sound, which placed third at the 2018 College Union Poetry Slam Invitational. | Free, ticket required | Open Mic Sign-up 5:30 P.M.
