The Co-authors who live in Orange, MA present the savory story of a couple who challenge convention to shape a self-created life and grow a loving relationship and family. Their vision blossomed Seeds of Solidarity Farm and Education Center–a solar powered oasis and renowned organization that has taught thousands to ‘Grow Food Everywhere.’ In this publication, over fifty essays and stories recount the humorous and harsh realities of a honeymoon of thousands of miles walked on pilgrimage from Auschwitz to Hiroshima; sixty combined years in the farm fields; adventures building and living off the grid; and the launch of a garlic and arts festival with neighbors and a hundred bucks. Water To Wood - Percussionist Bob Weiner, saxophonist Jason Robinson, and dancer Lani Nahele (aka Lisa Schmidt) perform Water to Wood, an improvisation inspired by the Chinese 5 Elements

Drummer and percussionist Bob Weiner has toured and performed with Harry Belafonte, Itzhak Perlman, Betty Buckley, Jon Lucien, Dianne Reeves, Andy Statman, Rebecca Paris, Kenny Werner, Bob Moses and many others. He has taught at the Drummers Collective (New York, NY), New England Conservatory (Boston, MA) and Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA). Bob has co-authored two important percussion books, “Afro-Cuban Rhythms for  Drumset” with Frank Malabe and “Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset” with Duduka da Fonseca (Alfred Music).

The music of American saxophonist and scholar Jason Robinson ("rugged and scintillating," New York Times) thrives in the fertile overlaps between improvisation and composition, acoustic music and electronics, tradition and experimentalism. He has performed at festivals and prominent venues in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, and throughout Europe and/or recorded with Peter Kowald, George Lewis, Anthony Davis, Amiri Baraka, Drew Gress, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Marty Ehrlich, Eugene Chadbourne, Earl Howard, Toots and the Maytals, Groundation, Bertram Turetzky, Mark Dresser, John Russell, Roger Turner, Gerry Hemingway, Kei Akagi, Mel Graves, Liberty Ellman, Babatunde Lea, Mel Martin, Marco Eneidi, Lisle Ellis, Raphe Malik, Mike Wofford, Philip Gelb, JD Parran, Dana Reason, David Borgo, Contemporary Jazz Orchestra (at Pearl's, San Francisco), the La Jolla Symphony, SONOR (UCSD), and the San Francisco Mime Troupe, among others. Robinson is Associate Professor of Music at Amherst College .

Deeply dedicated to the study of movement and the body, Lani Nahele (aka Lisa Schmidt) has been a lifelong movement educator, bodyworker, choreographer, and performer. She received her BFA from SUNY Purchase, and performed with the Trisha Brown Dance Company for seven years. Collaborators have included Frey Faust, Deiter Heitkamp, Ka Rustler, Eva Geueke, Catherine Musinsky, Olivier Besson, Jen Polins, Saliq Savage, and Dale Rosenkrantz among others. She is the director of Studio rEvolution, Florence MA, where she runs Embodied Healing, her private bodywork practice, classes in SomoGyro, and her creative workgroup Who Are You?
