One of the most original cornet players to emerge from the avant-garde, 81-year-old Bobby Bradford made his mark in Los Angeles, playing with Ornette Coleman, Eric Dolphy and John Carter. Over two decades, saxophonist Hafez Modirzadeh has developed his pioneering chromodal concept, a cross-cultural musical approach developed from his own American jazz and Iranian heritages.
