Classic, elegant, and passionate -- these are the words that describe the music of the Latin Jazz Masters. Led by Music Director and pianist Arturo O'Farrill, son of the pioneering composer and bandleader Chico O'Farrill, the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra is the newest ensemble of the renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center. Experience how the music of Machito, Mario Bauza, Chico O'Farrill, Rene Hernandez, Antonio Carols Jobim, and other Latin greats ignited the dance floor and revolutionized Jazz.

This performance is part of a day-long high school jazz festival sponsored by the Fine Arts Center and the UMass Department of Music and Dance.
