Hailing from France, Romania and the Netherlands, the international Orpheus quartet is widely recognized as one of Europe's most important young chamber ensembles, winning every competition it has entered. In recent seasons, they have performed Brahms, Bartok, and Mozart, with Debussy encores described as "alone, worth the price of admission." This quartet begins a three-year, six-performance cycle of the sixteen Beethoven Quartets. Please join us for a free pre-concert talk. Viennese coffee and desserts will be available for purchase.
