The renowned Kirov Orchestra performs with principal conductor Valery Gergiev. In 1997 he was chosen conductor of the year by the Classical Music Awards Society and appointed principal guest conductor of the Metropolitan Opera. Program includes Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet, Bruch's Violin Concerto, No1 op. 26, G minor with Nikolaj Znaider on violin and Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique, op14
