She has released ten critically acclaimed recordings as leader and performed with Randy Weston, Roswell Rudd, Nicole Mitchell and Archie Shepp. “Ms. Victor is a singer with her own brand: She’s theatrical and extreme without being campy,” writes Giovanni Russonello. In 2019, Victor’s chamber trio released Barn Songs, featuring songs written by Victor 20 years ago, when she was living in Amsterdam.
