Pianist Anthony Davis and saxophonist Jason Robinson use telepathic interplay, inspired improvisation, and dynamic original compositions to carry listeners to a brilliant and evocative soundscape marked by emotional subtlety, wide-ranging sounds, and poignant melodicism. Davis, author of X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X and Amistad, premieres his eighth opera, Cen-tral Park Five, in November. Robinson, Assistant Professor of Music at Amherst College, recently recorded his 15th album as a leader, Resonant Geography.
