Large-scale paintings created as a response to social, political and world events. Fueled by political and social upheavals, war, chaos and degradation of our environment, his paintings explore the world and humanity, ‘removing the veil of illusion of its current state’.

"My art is created intuitively and as a response to social, political and world events. They are my vehicle to express commentary on many issues impacting humankind and how we treat each other. Art for me is a means to explore the world and humanity. I endeavor to expose down to the bone and remove the veil of illusion that the state of current; and to see behind the scenes. I started out on this journey in 1970 as a means of taking a stand outside of the mainstream trendy commercialized art of that period and todays lack of purity.

My art has been fueled by political and social upheavals, war, chaos and degradation of our environment due in part by greed and control of societies and cultures. 

I grew up in a time of Civil Rights marches, Vietnam, riots and social upheavals. I wanted to lead with my own voice and not to follow others of any movement. I was always a lone wolf of sorts. Sure I saw shoot outs of the SLA in South Central L.A. Brothers and sisters of all races fighting for what they believed in. I have been stand alone. I wanted not to be controlled by the dollar or media. I wanted to tell the stories; the good, the bad, the ugly and take my brushes where others dared not to go.

I began studying the Old Masters and finding my inspiration from artist like Max Beckman, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Hieronymus Bosch, artist that I felt a connection with. Art for me is in a constant state of change and cannot be locked away to stagnate. I am always infusing my art with new subjects, ideas techniques as well as my commentary on world events national or local. My art is open to all points of views; and allows the viewer to take part.

I hope that the paintings that I create, will cultivate thoughts and emotions that lead to a way of problem solving for the betterment of humankind. 

My paintings are created sometimes within a few days to 18 months depending on size; which is usually of substantial size.

I am essentially self-taught although; I am a graduate of Los Angeles Trade Technical College and studied studio art at Cal State Dominquez Hills in Carson, California.

In the year of 2004 my wife and I moved to Grants, New Mexico where we have built our studios up on Mount Taylor in Lobo Canyon and continue to be creative."
