Adam Rudolph has been called a "pioneer of world music" and is best known for his longtime collaboration with legendary saxophonist Yusef Lateef. Rudolph brings his Moving Picture Octet to the Fine Arts Center. Grounded in American improvisational tradition yet spectacularly embracing global languages, instrumentation and cosmologies, the octet features Hamid Drake, Graham Haynes, Steve Gorn, Ned Rothenberg, Shanir Blumenkrantz, Kenny Wessel, Brahim Fribgane, and Rudolph.
