The Bamberger Symphoniker from Germany is known for an exuberant style and discipline, virtuosity and sensitivity. Founded in 1946, the Bamberger Symphoniker has had a distinguished history with such principal conductors as Eugen Jochum, Joseph Keilberth and Witold Rowicki. For this performance, the orchestra with conductor Jonathan Nott is joined by pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard for a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major and Ligeti Etudes. The orchestra will also perform Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3.
