New Paintings
Thursday, October 4 - Tuesday, October 30, 2001
Hampden GalleryFree
A genXer and painter, Barry Lester is completing her graduate studies at Yale University. Hampden Gallery invited Lester to exhibit new works, thus completing the spectrum of artists the gallery will show this year, from younger emerging to older established artists dealing with body-related themes. Lester's paintings are rich in surface detail and focus on the human form. Her recent works have moved off the canvas into mysterious mixed media sculptures.
