Kristin Nason's Artist Statement on "Cold Storage": Much of our experience is stored away, quietly unrecognized, until eventually it pulls away from latent memory into active memory and we recall that thing again. These building blocks of our person surprise us, like chunks of foundation suddenly exposed. This installation deals with these hidden memories, and their gradual transition from "cold storage" into our present experience.
