Walk (like an Egyptian) down to Hampden Gallery for a day of workshops for children. Your child will learn how to write their name in Egyptian hieroglyphics and how to create colorful mummy decorations, scarab designs and more! Gallery Manager and Ancient Egyptian Project Director, John Simpson, will provide the theoretical base for the activities by introducing Egyptian art to the kids. Massachusetts educator, Martha Burkett, developed and organized all the hands-on activities for the event.
