This tribute to Ed Blackwell, one of the most important and unsung drummers in jazz history, feature tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano and bassist Mark Helias, both of whom had extensive performance experience with Blackwell, along with drummer and UMass Music Department faculty member, Tom Giampietro.
