Under the direction of Paul Hillier, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir returns to the Fine Arts Center with another program of intriguing and beautiful music. Founded in 1981, the repertoire of the choir ranges from Gregorian chants to late baroque and 20th century music. For their encore performance, the choir will be joined by nine musicians for a concert of Arvo Pärt's classic Miserere, the Vespers (from The All Night Vigil, Op.39) by Rachmaninov and a Mass by Poulenc.
Twenty-seven mesmerizing voices--and music of sustained beauty that's sustenance for the soul. --The Toronto Star
