The Eye Witness Project (A FAC 40th Anniversary Event)
Co-curated by Sally Curcio and Anne LaPrade Seuthe
September 13 - October 9, 2015
Opening Reception: Sunday, Sept. 13, 2 - 4 p.m.
Eye Witness is comprised of 40 objects culled from the studios of artists and curators who
have exhibited with Hampden Gallery over the years. The collected objects speak to the material and conceptual inspirations of the artists. Seeing the objects as a collection opens the possibility for viewers to glimpse into what things have sparked the artists, thereby allowing them to become eye witnesses to the inner workings of the creative process.
The objects hold the potential to inspire wonder similar to that of the Wunderkammer of the 18th Century.
