Khen Rinpoche will teach the method of practicing Tonglen, the exchange of self and others, a powerful systematic healing method of cultivating compassion and happiness through developing the altruistic mind of enlightenment. This technique, originally taught by the classical Indian Buddhist scholar Shantideva, is strongly cultivated in Tibetan Buddhist practice. Professor Gardiner will present historical and philosophical contexts of this powerful practice. There will be opportunity for questions and answers.
