Holly Curcio

From Inside The Birdhouse

March 30 - April 27, Incubator Project Space

Holly Curcio makes ceramic sculptural work that deals with personal narrative and subtle humor. The pieces are primarily hand-built with layers of under-glaze, glaze, and laser decals. Curcio says “I am interested in what goes on inside a person’s head. I pull imagery from my surroundings for reflection. Inside the Incubator Space I will structure ceramic forms to create a narrative that will span the entire wall's width.”

Holly Curcio holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics from Arizona State University, Tempe AZ

And a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Her work has been exhibited in venues throughout the U.S. – most recently in the solo exhibition

A Matter of Perspective at Gallery 5, Emmanuel College, Boston MA

She has completed numerous artist residencies to include Mudflat Studio, Somerville MA ; Carbondale Clay Center, Carbondale CO : Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Snowmass Village CO; Ceramic Resident, 6 Months Watershed Center For The Ceramic Arts, Newcastle ME "Kiln God" funded residency.
