Mark Rice: Yung Mail Tails - Another Reading Room Annex

October 20 - November 20, Incubator Project Space

Opening Reception: Sunday, October 20, 2 - 4 p.m.

Rice has used this method of writing in several projects over the years but the reason for its usage remains the same. It is used to slow the reading process. One must concentrate and empathize with the text to make any sense of it. The presence of the language creates a curiosity that intrigues individuals to interact with it, many of whom would never normally do so.

Rice earned a degree in Printmaking from Indiana University in Bloomington and studied intaglio at Scuola Internazionale Di Grafica in Venice, Italy. He is an award winning artist who has exhibited throughout the U.S. and is the founder of Art Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana.
