The Mingus Big Band celebrates the music of the late, great composer and bassist, Charles Mingus. Under the artistic direction of Sue Mingus, this 14-piece band has toured extensively in Europe and the United States and has four recordings to its credit, two of which have been 1996 and 1997 Grammy nominees and NAIRD Indie Award winners. This concert sold-out when they were here four years ago, so get your tickets early.

This performance is a part of a daylong festival sponsored by the Department of Music and Dance and the Fine Arts Center.
