Once Upon a Time Beirut. (Jocelyn Saab, Lebanon/France/Germany/Argentina, 1994, 104 minutes, in French and Arabic with English subtitles). In this imaginatively reflexive film, two young women in post-civil war Beirut reconstruct their beloved city through archival cinematic images.
