Passage to the Silk River bridges tradition and innovation, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company brings the power and elegance of ancient Chinese art into the free and dynamic world of contemporary dance. With a unique dance vocabulary inspired by the spiritual tradition of Chinese and Zen calligraphy, Nai-Ni Chen is the leading choreographer blazing a new path for Asian dance heritage in America. Part of China Festival in 2003.
Presented in collaboration with the Chinese Language Program, Springfield Public Schools, Department of Asian languages and Literatures, Springfield Library and Museums, Asian American Council to the Mayor, Springfield.
