Douglas R. Ewart has had a remarkable 40-year career as a composer, improviser, poet, wind player and maker of masks and instruments. Matthew Shipp is one of the most celebrated and influential pianists of the last 25 years. Ni’Ja Whitson is a choreographer and dancer who has worked with Dianne McIntyre, Sharon Bridgforth and Guillermo Gomez Peña.
Audience members are invited for a pre-concert talk at 3 p.m. at the Augusta Savage Gallery located in the New Africa House(180 Infirmary Way on campus).
