Ragamala Music and Dance Theater " Return of the Rainseed has a real tale to tell and a real tail to tell it with." Linda Shapiro, Minneapolis Star Tribune Inspired by a modern folktale from India, this is the story of Mala, a young girl who yearns to save her village from a demon who has swallowed the rainseed. To succeed, Mala must convince her Godmother to transform her into a boy. Through her journey, she discovers she can be brave and adventurous using her own skills and ingenuity. The show combines theater with Indian dance, music from South India, an English narration and colorful costumes.
