If you are planning on joining in the Source to Sea River Clean Up with the Connecticut River Watershed Council (CRWC) this year, you may want to take advantage of taking home some trash which you can fashion into art work. See some ideas of what other folks have crafted from found materials in this 75 minute webinar led by Annaliese Bischoff, a UMass associate professor with an interest in promoting sustainable art.
The webinar will be hosted on September 19th at 11:30 am.
Use your knowledge from the webinar to participate in The River’s Song Project's second activity. In January a call will go out for River Art - a juried exhibit of art made from river trash. Selected works from the Jury will be on view at the Discovery Center in Turners Falls, MA during April and May of 2015.
These events are a part of the Rivers’s Song Project celebrations that will be held on May 16, 2015 and are presented in conjunction with the Nile Project coming to perform at UMass Amherst on April 7, 2015
