Directed by Ye Lou. This ultra-stylish urban mystery set in contemporary Shanghai is both gritty and hauntingly lyrical--at once craftily evocative of Alfred Hitchcock's VERTIGO, and representative of a cosmopolitan new Chinese cinema. The soundtrack combines Chinese pop with a Bernard Hermann-esque score by German composer Jorg Lemberg. 83 minutes, in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles
