Shakespeare's The Tempest
Théâtre du Nouveau Monde and 4D Art

Monday, March 12, 2007
Concert Hall 7:30 pm$35, $25, $15; Youth 17 and under: $15, Five College Students: $15
Blowing a virtual wind on The Tempest, mulit-media creators Michael Lemieux and Victor Pilon, in collaboration with director Denise Guilbault, have succeeded in revealing all the phantasmagorical power of Shakespeare's great classic. A high-tech Tempest? Pure magic indeed. It's a spectacle that combines reality and virtual reality through the combination of live actors and high-tech media (holographic projections.) The borders disappear between performance, scenography, cinema, videos, dance, poetry, light, music and sound, integrating them all into one unique and unbelievable art form. From the moment the curtain rises, you will be astonished at the sight of the infamous storm conjured up by the vengeful Prospero. In French with English supertitles.
