Ying Quartet

Now in its third decade, the Grammy-winning Ying Quartet is recognized as one of the most established and highest ranking string ensembles across the globe, with performances in some of the most important concert halls such as the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall. Phillip Ying, viola, believes that listening to live chamber music is like “conversing with a few treasured friends who love being together and energize each other… and to remind us of what it means to be a human being.” The program will include European classics, as well as “dim sum,” a collection of short contemporary Chinese compositions.
